A woman getting ready to exercise at home.

Are home workouts for you? – Home vs Gym Workouts (Part 4)

In this article I will help you decide if you can benefit from exercising at home. The following does not apply to people who have the luxury of a custom built garage or basement gym with all the bells and whistles. Because  if you have this luxury, the biggest limitation is your budget.

This is about the average person who exercises in a room at their home.

Who is a good candidate for home workouts?

Home workouts are for people who:

  • Want to improve their general fitness
  • Want to build a compact, slender physique (the beach body type)
  • Want to lose weight
  • They are willing to combine various types of training and different training techniques to achieve their goal
  • They can workout at home without distractions
  • Most women are good candidates because they train lighter than men by default (physiology factors)

Who is not a good candidate for home workouts?

Home workouts are not ideal for people who:

  • Are or aspire to become competitive bodybuilders – women or men
  • Powerlifters
  • CrossFit enthusiasts
  • People who can’t do without the buzz of the gym environment

I hope this quick blog has made things clearer for you! In the next blog we will explore an alternative hybrid approach.
